Baffled no longer

I had a free afternoon so took a spin out to Vines at Guildford, then on to Hindhead and Haslemere to do some more miles towards running in the engine. As the clock went over the 200 mile mark I increased the top revs from 4,500 to 5,500 as suggested in the manual, varying speed as much as possible, even on the dual carriageways.

I removed the baffle from inside the new exhaust, turning it from a muted whirring into a full throated roar, more Harley than BMW. I'm probably exaggerating, but it's a much more satisfying noise!

While at Vines I tried on the Streetguard 3 suit which fitted very well and is seriously tempting, especially as my current winter suit is falling apart. Hmmm...
